Pair of English Regency 1840s Mahogany Chairs with Ionic Capitals and Griffons

About the Item

A pair of English Regency period mahogany armchairs from the mid 19th century, with ionic capitals, griffon arms and paw feet. Created in England during the second quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of armchairs attracts our attention with its carved back splat depicting an Ionic style capital. Showcasing turquoise seats with brass nailhead trims, the chairs are accented with carved griffons on the arm supports and are raised on paw feet in the front. With their elegant lines and great mahogany patina, this pair of English Regency armchairs circa 1840 will bring an elegant presence to any living room or bedroom.
