Pair of Tufted and Scrolled Back Chairs in Printed Velvet
About the Item
A stunning pair of 19th century French tufted and scrolled armchairs, reflecting the distinguished Napoleon III style. These sophisticated and elegant chairs have the potential to elevate any living space with their presence. With their elaborate French design, these majestic chairs invoke a sense of splendor in any room setting. This classic set of French armchairs from the Napoleon III era features rounded and scrolled backs, ingeniously incorporating lumbar supports for enhanced comfort. To increase functionality and ease of movement, we have added new casters to the front legs, which also improve the chair's pitch. Originating from France in the late 19th century, these chairs are in good vintage condition, as one would expect for their age. However, we always suggest reupholstering vintage seating to ensure longevity and comfort. While the upholstery is well-preserved, it is essential to note that the frames might require some attention and tightening.
