Victorian Mahogany Library Chair Part of Suite Satin Floral and Birds Upholstery

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely Victorian library, reading or nursing chair with a mahogany frame and satin cotton floral and bird detailed upholstery, part of a four piece suite As mentioned this is part of a suite, I have this chair, then a larger Library armchair, the very high back prayer chair and then a 2-3 person bench, all with the same frames and same upholstery. I have included a picture of the suite however this auction is just for the one piece and the others are listed under my other items This one is a very good looking well-made find, the upholstery is simply stunning from top to bottom, being satin cotton it’s as soft as they come, the birds and flowers are excellently executed The upholstery is from a company called Blendworth. We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished the frame, it’s in lovely Victorian condition, the upholstery is mostly fine, it may have the odd mark from transport but really you would have to look very close to find any imperfections Dimensions: Height 89.5 cm Width 58.5 cm Depth 73.5 cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
