About the Item
'Danish Local'
A bench can be used by everyone. It's a place to visit over and over again,
to reflect and dream.
You come alone, with a friend or maybe meet someone new.
You observe, talk and remember.
But the bench remains the same place. You do not move it - it's a point of reference and gradual familiarity.
'Danish Local' is a bench that is fixed to it's place of origin through the choice of materials. Produced in Denmark from the most common ground material found locally, blended with white concrete and water and then sanded into a form of Danish terrazzo.
This piece is made to order as standard or customisable in regard to dimensions, materials and colour in dialog with the client.

DUVALD Furniture
DUVALD creates bespoke and serial pieces. The core is well crafted and functional design with strong and sustainable aesthetics. With attention to detail and materiality, the aim is to frame sensory and aesthetic experiences when dealing with the functionality of the given furniture piece.
We use some of the best craftsmen in Denmark and all products are often possible to alter to specific wishes.
All products have been initiated by request or censored exhibition.
The company was founded in 2013 by trained architect Søren Oskar Duvald from the Royal Academy of Arts and Architecture, Copenhagen, Denmark.
