Daybed by Rachel Whiteread

About the Item

Much of the work by British artist Rachel Whiteread studies the void or empty space surrounding a given object, and the artist designed "Daybed" with the same interests in mind. This custom-made, upholstered daybed takes the form of the empty space beneath a twin bed: the undulating surface pattern is the space beneath the mattress springs and the four vertical holes signify the bedposts. Made with dense foam and a wool, Bute fabric, the design is as comfortable as it is dynamic. "Daybed" is available in 27 gorgeous Bute Tiree fabric choices. Please allow 10 weeks for delivery.
