French Design Classic: Pierre Chapo, S14 Benches, 1980s

About the Item

Vintage Pierre Chapo S14 “Banc à piliers pour trois”: Three-seat bench in elm. Would work great as an end of bed bench. As with all furniture by Chapo, this piece shows excellent craftsmanship, is constructed in solid wood and was made to last. French elmwood is due to the Dutch elm disease extremely rare to find these days, and recent editions are generally made of oak or imported elmwood which have a completely different appearance compared to the warm, vintage look of an aged Chapo piece. Condition: Overall very good vintage condition, ready for daily use. Benches have been cleaned and oiled with cooked linseed oil as per Chapo’s original instructions. Materials: French Elmwood Origination: 1980s, France Approximate Dimensions: Measures: Height: 43 cm Width: 173 cm Depth: 35 cm Price is per piece.
