This rare, corduroy upholstered theatre row of four seats is of the late Victorian-Eastlake era and is in extremely good condition overall. The burnt orange, corduroy seats are ribbed for style and comfort and flip up and down flawlessly, without any squeaking, creaking or tightness. Each seat has a number, which appears to have changed over time, as the originals seemed to have been plates tacked into the wood, but the numbers there now appear to have been numbered at least 100 years ago, based on their applied design. The rivets are hammered into each chair through a leather strip. The chairs are very heavy and were cast by a company named NRBP, which is stamped on each cast iron seat bracket...
