MCM Platform Slat Bench or Coffee Table by George Nelson for Herman Miller

About the Item

A true one-of-a-kind design! MCM platform slat bench or coffee table by George Nelson for Herman Miller, circa 2000s. The bench is in good condition with some knicks and dings due to use; the piece measures 60"W x 18.5"D x 14.5"H and has an all beech table top and black ebony finished legs. A true classic! #5230 For Herman Miller's influential design director George Nelson, utility was as important as beauty. Originally designed for his own office, where Nelson hoped the slatted top would discourage visitors from sitting too long, the Platform Bench (1946) is both timeless and functional. This is the authentic Nelson Bench produced by Herman Miller with signature on the underside.
