Born in Italy during the early years of the 19th century, this exquisite neoclassical settee features a rectangular, slightly curving back, adorned with pierced gilt floral motifs surrounding a partially upholstered section. Two scrolling arms with acanthus leaves, flank the rectangular seat, reupholstered with a linen fabric, accented with brass nailheads. The ensemble is raised on six legs, the three front ones being cylindrical while the hind ones are straight. The settee presents its original paint, discreetly highlighted by petite beads.
