About the Item

Vilhelm Lauritzen, Scandinavian Modern A very rare bench by Vilhelm Lauritzen made for Gladsaxe Town Hall, Söborg, Denmark, 1936-1937. This model was also used for the Danish Embassy in Washington D.C. The seat is made from solid teak with raised back and the base is dark green lacquered metal. A collector's item. Literature: L. Balslev "Vilhelm Lauritzen - En moderne arkitekt", Bergiafonden Aristo, Copenhagen, 1994. Similar model p. 73.
