French 19th Century Louis XVI Carved Salon Set with Original Aubusson Tapestry

About the Item

This gorgeous French Louis XVI carved wood salon set features delicate beading and gild work, and dates back to the 19th century. The set includes a large sofa, three armchairs, and four side chairs, and is beautifully upholstered in original the Aubusson tapestry. Wreaths of acanthus leaves protruding from the top of each chair and sofa, and the supports of the arms of the sofa as well as the armchairs are embellished with acanthus leaves. The tops of the front and sides of the legs of the sofa are adorned with carved round marquerites, and the legs are fluted in classic Louis XVI fashion. 1 Sofa: 45" tall x 28" deep x 70" wide 3 Armchairs: 41" tall x 20" deep x 24" wide 4 Side Chairs: 40" tall x 17" deep x 20" wide
