French painted and caned desk chair ("fauteuil de bureau"), in the Louis XVI style with carved roses and "cap de gendarmes" on the crest rail, acanthus leaves on the arms, cabled fluting on legs, and other neoclassical detailing.

Very good overall, painting more recent, faux-distressed, two-toned paint coloration. Caning in very good condition, with no holes or tears evident.
