Pair of Louis XVI Style Porter's Chairs in Carved Walnut
About the Item
Pair of walnut Porter chairs in the Louis XVI style featuring hand carved acanthus leaves on the crest rail and arms, tapered legs with cabled fluting, central bow on the seat rail and other neoclassical details (circa late 19th century). The upholstery was done in France, and appears to be relatively recent and is in good condition. Separate seat cushion and pillow.
