20th Century Gio Ponti Sofa Unique Piece Designed for Casa Lucano, Early 1940s

About the Item

The two-seater upholstered sofa was designed by Gio Ponti for Casa Lucano, in Sanremo (Italy). The design recalls a very similar sofa that was part of the Cellina furniture published in Domus magazine n°98. It is dated between the end of the 30s and the very early 40s. Very good condition, new upholstery, Certification of Authenticity released by Archivio Gio Ponti available upon request.
