2 Dutch Pander & Zonen Art Deco side chairs 2 wooden Side chairs with velvet fabric seat upholstery, made by Pander & Zonen, ca 1920 Pander is known as a furniture factory in the Netherlands, but also built aircraft from wood between 1924 and 1934 and had an aircraft factory, which was located in The Hague and later at the company's wood yard in Rijswijk. In 1887 Hendrik Pander , the son of Klaas Pander (1819-1897), opened the Pander Meubelfabriek in The Hague with a large furniture workshop. The Hollandia flour factory used to be located here. The name of the company was changed to H. Pander & Zonen. Hendrik took over the trade after the death of father Klaas. In 1893 his son Klaas Gerardus succeeded him. The chairs are labeled and marked with number K8508 The measurements are 92 cvm high, 43,5 cm wide and the depth is 45 cm. The seat height with velvet seat is 47 cm high. The weight total is approx. 8 kilos for those two chairs.
