20th Century Gaetano Pesce Umbrella Chair Folding and Transportable Green

About the Item

Gaetano Pesce's works are generally eccentric, modern and carry a concept of "happening", which is the transformation of the object. Experimenter of different forms and materials, his ideas seem to carry with them the concept of error, of defect, this comes from Pesce's poetics: we are all full of defects, which we should enhance in order to become original. In 1995 for Zero Disegno, Gaetano Pesce designed the Umbrella Chair, a very light and easily transportable chair. Pressing on a special button, it turns into a walking stick and pressing again on the same button, it returns to be a chair. The spring legs of the chair act as shock absorbers and provide a light and pleasant effect of oscillation and movement. In 1995 Umbrella chair won the Award from Interior Design Magazine. Signature of the manufacturer as shown in photo.
