American Art Deco Restored McKay-Craft Salesman's Sample or Child's Chair

About the Item

In some 40 years of collecting/dealing this is the only miniature version of the American Art Deco Classic, the McKay chair that we have come across and it is fully restored and fabulous. Anecdotally we have been told that it was manufactured along with other iconic McKay-Craft pieces for the children's area in The Hall of Science at the Chicago 1933 Century of Progress Exhibition. The last picture shows the relative size of the chair in relation to a can of Coke Classic. McKay-Craft founder William McGowan's original patent (Applied for in November, 1931 and awarded in November, 1933) for the iconic full size chair is also shown below.
