Created in France during the dynamic 19th century, each of this pair of armchairs features a curving back topped with a carved flower flanked with palmettes on the upper rail. Two open arms with scrolling extremities carved with acanthus leaves and rosettes are coming to rest on each side of a seat newly upholstered with a neutral toned linen fabric. Each chair is accented with touches of yellow and white with a subtle hint of turquoise. The base is made of four legs, the front ones being tapered while the hind ones are saber.
