The frame dining chair arose from the idea of designing a chair like you construct a small building. Strongly inspired by the stringent outline of the scaf folding around buildings in the Chinese cities. The lines of the outer frame are horizontal and vertical, complementing the soft upholster y. While the sleek backrest and seat are designed to follow the human body, which provides a comfor table seating experience and contributes with sof tness to the ambience. Founded in Hangzhou in the summer of 2014, Mario Tsai Studio is a research-based practice that prices itself on innovative thinking to produce sustainable design. Unconstrained by conventional methods, in whatever industry or culture it works in, the studio uses rigorous logic coupled with a fluid sense of artistry to present the works, whether in the form of products, installations, strategies or exhibitions. WOUD The founders, Mia and Torben Koed, decided to put their 30 years of experience into a new project. It was time for a change and a new challenge. The challenge was to build an ambitious design brand from the ground up with high-quality materials and great attention to the little details. With a drive to create new originals, the WOUD collection is founded upon the idea to look ahead instead of looking back and share the love for honest design. Therefore, we are eager to discover and develop new ideas whether it being in form, function or choice of material.
