Hand Carved Brocade Covered Chair with Casters in the Style of East lake

About the Item

Hand-carved wooden chair in the style of Eastlake. The chair features a cream and yellow brocade fabric, upholstered tufted back and matching seat. The upholstery is in wonderful condition with double piping throughout. From the back of the chair, the lovely creamy gold fabric has been brought through. Featuring double piping just as the front. The front two legs feature rolling wheels, making it easy to move around. The back two legs are stationary and do not have wheels. The top of the chair is carved in pagoda chinoiserie or art deco style. Similarly, the sides of the chair have carvings into the brown wood in vertical lines. The wood curls down to flank the bottom of the seat. A truly traditional look. This type of chair is popular in a good number of Oklahoma’s historic homes. And is a great way to add a touch of traditional style to any space. How We Would Style It: We’d love to see this chair used either in a bathroom or at a vanity. Often times, these places are overlooked and forgotten about. We are firm believers that every room needs a chair. Whether its to toss your dirty clothes, to sit on while you put on your shoes, or just because it looks pretty. However, our favorite place is in the bathroom. If large enough, this chair positioned under a vanity or just aside by a wall would be a great place to plop a stack of towels.
