Les Arcs Chair by Charlotte Perriand
About the Item
Original Les Arcs chair by Charlotte Perriand for the ski resort of the same name designed and project managed by Perriand. Beautiful patina on the leather riveted to the black tubular steel frame. In good vintage condition and from the first series of chairs produced.
In her early years, Perriand famously worked for Le Corbusier, bringing many of his ideas into reality, together with Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier's cousin, especially the LC range we know today.
She went on to travel to Japan, changing her style from the industrial minimalism of Bauhaus to a more traditional minimalism, using natural materials and age-old skills.
