A part of Fort Standard’s “Qualities of Material” collection, this entirely leather occasional chair is made of vegetable tanned leather that has been stacked and rolled to create the chair’s structural components.
“Qualities of Material” is a limited edition collection launched in 2016 by Fort Standard that explores natural materials to push them beyond their conventional limits and applications. The collection investigates the properties of wood, stone and leather by employing specific material characteristics to create structural designs in the context of furniture.
