Luciano Nustrini, PA1 Chair, designed 1957, made by Poltronova

About the Item

Luciano Nustrini (1928-1999), PA1 Chair, made by Poltronova, Italy 1950s This fabulous little chair is about as 1950s as you can get! Constructed with a curved walnut ply backrest, and original ochre fabric padded fixed cushion, on steel legs, the model PA1 chair would make a wonderful boudoir chair for use while sitting at a dressing table, or feature as an eye-catching side chair in a modernist setting. The chair was designed by Nustrini in 1957 and this example likely dates from the late 1950s. It is in original unrestored condition, and there are minor scratches to the wood and some marks to the fabric, but these do not detract from the appearance and the structure is solid.
