Tempered Glass Chairs, Brazil, 1960

About the Item

Pair of curved Tempered glass chairs. Made in Brazil by Blindex, the national tempered glass maker (label tattooed under the chairs). A technical anatomic curved glass give a lot of confort despite the glass seat. Only few exemple have been produced, as Saint Gobain in the 50', it was an exercice to show the technical process of modern glass. Moulded temperated furniture never been mass commercialised because it was top costly to produce. Black iron structure. In a perfect condition, no scratch or shard of glass.
