Pair of Early Georgian Oak Side Chairs

About the Item

A charming pair of early oak side chairs with delicate spindle backs and double supports. Rich dark oak with lovely patina and articulated edges at the seat, which measures 17 inches high. These chairs are delicate and more decorative than for everyday use, and might benefit from small gusseted cushions to raise the seat by one inch. Truly decorative and elegant.

The turnings are slightly lighter from use, as is appropriate. Nicely articulated and varied ball feet. Rush seats are in good condition. The measurements below are average for the collection.
