About the Item

This refined and sophisticated pair of 1940s Hollywood occasional chairs were designed by Lorin Jackson for Grosfeld House, circa 1945. Created in ebonized walnut, they offer lattice work sides offering a wealth of rhomboid forms; gently sloping streamlined arms, klismos style feet, and vertically channeled backs. The chairs have been newly reupholstered in stunning smoked pewter velvet. With their beautiful detailing and clean modernist lines, these chairs would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary.
