Fantastic pair of Francois Carre sunburst bouncer lounge chairs. These chairs are more than just good-looking. They are curiously some of the most comfortable lounge chairs we have test-driven. No cushions needed. Their simple bent-steel rod & spring construction makes for a comfortable design that's truly a pleasure to sit in. This seat design was developed in the third quarter of the 19th century in response to the Parisian infrastructural trend of open parks & boulevards. Outdoor concerts drove the necessity for creative outdoor seating, and Carre's strong yet water-permeable designs in steel were the solution du jour.
