About the Item
Original Restored Danish Clam Chair in Natural Sheepskin
by Arnold Madsen
d. 1950
Condition: Excellent
Reupholstered. Repaired: Legs, armrests and frame have all been fully restored and refinished. Reupholstered with new sheepskin and new wood buttons.
This fully restored Danish "Clam" chair from the 1950s, originally crafted by Skive Møbelfabrik and designed by Arnold Madsen, is exceptionally rare. Its bold, organic form has inspired other manufacturers to create similar pieces, though none quite match the original.
Expertly revitalized by our restoration team, this extraordinary piece has been brought back to its original condition. The seat and backrest have been reupholstered in natural, undyed sheepskin, complemented by wooden buttons that perfectly match the armrests and legs. A truly remarkable and sought-after treasure for any admirer of timeless design.
