About

A very good and rare pair of oak Arts & Crafts chairs by the German architect designer, Richard Riemerschmid, famous for his iconic “ Music Room” chair that he designed, circa 1898 and later also adapted by Liberty & Co.
Shaped raked back with typical stylized heart cut-out and typical "kick in" feet. These chairs were designed in 1902 and manufactured by the Deutsche Werkstatten fur Handwerkskunst, Dresden.
Good colour and patination. The Musee d'Orsay in Paris has one of these chairs in their collection.
