These unique chairs have sculptural steel frames with curved, upholstered seats and backs in brown and green fabric with contrasting welt detailing. ‘Shelby Williams Industries’ manufacturers label underneath seats. USA, 1990s. These chairs were designed in 1990 for the Cypress Club in San Francisco and were inspired by Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road.” This set is from the first edition of 50. Jordan Mozer is the founder and principal of Jordan Mozer + Associates, an interdisciplinary team of architects, designers and artists that invents and manufactures design components for public projects, hotels and restaurants. Mozer has degrees in industrial design as well as architecture and studied painting, sculpture and English literature.
