English Georgian Dark Green Corner Armchair

About the Item

A substantial size, this lovely early corner chair, has very old paint, worn in a most wonderful way, lending great character. The chair would have been a commode in its earliest form, however it has been converted to a standard chair with the addition of a newer rush seat. Beautiful and simple carving make a lovely arm and shaped arm rest, with pretty turned vertical supports to the arms, and a shaped apron on the base. Classic Georgian back supports.
