Early 19th Century Mahogany Daybed

Mahogany sleigh bed, circa 1805, by Jacob Frères and designed by the architect Louis-Martin Berthault.
This rare model, practically identical to one made for Madame Récamier (See documentation), exemplifies French Empire elegance with sculpted winged swans and gilt bronze mounts.
Another comparable piece resides in the Louvre, underscoring its historical importance.
