Venetian Silver Gilt Day Bed

About the Item

Venetian daybed of hand-carved wood with silver gilt accents on a Venetian grey blue ground. Ornate Rococo carving, highlighted by silver gilding and lovely soft colorations. Size can also be used as a small single bed as well, 1870 Italy. Excellent overall condition. Daybed frame comes apart easily into four pieces, two rails and two end pieces. There is a custom box spring and mattress included. Presently there are metal brackets which support the box spring which are mounted 2.5" below the level of the side rail. These can be easily raised or reversed and the box spring can be eliminated, so that there is a clean line, with no box spring mattress visible. Top mattress height (sitting height) is currently 21" high. Set includes Frame, and one box spring, one mattress. (Which are both custom, not standard Single size). Measures: 80" x 33" wide x 38" high. Mattress height 21".
