1950s French Baumann Blonde Beech Bentwood Dining Chairs – Set Of Seven. Baumann is a slightly off the radar French producer just starting to gain traction in the market. Baumann was founded in 1901, by Swiss man Emile Baumann, in Colombier Fontaine, France. Baumann started producing a simple child’s chair but grew rapidly to be a large bentwood producer with showrooms all over France. In our view the chairs of the 50s and 60' are their best, beautifully made and designed. This is a Classic elegant model in a clean and bleached blonde beechwood. Large comfortable bent back supports combine with elegant legs which kick out on an angle. We have cleaned them, that?s all. If you want an uber stylish chair that you won?t see often this will hit the spot. Seat Height 46cm.

All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
