Carved French Provincial Dining Chairs for John Widdicomb, Set of Six

About the Item

A set of six stylish French Provincial style dining chairs. The set consists of two large and roomy armchairs and four side chairs. Circa 1970. The wood frames have been distressed to give the appearance of honest wear and age. All have scrolled and shell carving on the crest of the chair back and around the aprons. They all have carved stretcher bases supported by cabriole legs. All retain the metal tag, John Widdicomb, Makers of Fine Furniture, Grand Rapids. The set is in good overall condition. Structurally sound and sturdy. Cosmetic wear and light bruising around the feet. The cream colored with a diamond pattern upholstery and cushions are in good overall condition. No major visible staining, rips or tears. The armchairs measure approximately 21" deep x 24" wide x 43" high. The seat height is approximately 18. The side chairs measure approximately 18" deep x 19" wide x 41.75" high. The seat height measures approximately 18".
