Exquisite Willy Rizzo Dining Set, Signed and Published in Casa Vogue

Buyer Protection Guaranteed

Superb and very rare 1970 Willy Rizzo dining set comprising eight extremely rare carver chairs in finished cognac leather with stainless steel frames complete with the matching Rizzo "elliptical" dining table finished in roman travertine with brass edge detailing to the travertine top and base. The elliptical form of the tabletop allows for easy conversation as the people sat at either end of the table are set slightly forward of those sat in the centre so they can still be easily seen aiding conversation without the need to lean forward, a simple yet very thoughtful piece of design.

Willy Rizzo produced six variations of his 1970 dining chair but only one carver, ie version with armrests was produced. Please see image number 10 courtesy of the Willy Rizzo studio which illustrates all the six variants that were produced.

The chairs are newly reupholstered in real cognac leather, these are the very rare and published carver variant of the 1970 Rizzo dining chairs which were originally upholstered in red suede which had badly deteriorated, we removed the Willy Rizzo signatures from the original suede fabric and have sewn them to the underside of the chairs to maintain the provenance, please see image 9.

We have saved photos of the original set prior to renovation in order to keep an ongoing provenance.

This is a unique opportunity to purchase a complete and documented original Willy Rizzo dining set of a very good size
