About the Item
Beautifully hand carved set of low back Windsor style dining side chairs made from yew wood, pierced splat backs and well figured seats raised on turned legs united by simple stretchers.
Windsor chairs, in general, in varying sizes, shapes, forms and woods were a staple of English houses throughout the 19th century.
Although these were made in the 20th Century, they are a good example of well constructed chairs, made from yew wood, a dense and hardwearing wood.
