Set of four Baltimore “Fancy” Painted and gilt side chairs in the neoclassical taste, circa 1820s. Poplar, painted and gilded (secondary woods: poplar and pine). These chairs in the Greek style are very comfortable and sturdy. The seats are caned, two are perfect. Two should be replaced but work fine with the cushions.
