This lovely set of four (4) Danish Modern dining chairs are by Johannes Andersen for Uldum Møbelfabrik, sculpted from oak with leatherette upholstery, and in the style of Niels Otto Moller, these are a perfect option for interior designers and Mid-Century Modern collectors and enthusiasts.
Retailed in the 1970s by Scan Furniture stores, which specialized in importing Scandinavian Modern designs and bringing them to the US market, as demonstrated by the label underneath each chair which shows the retailers parent company name Greenbelt Consumers Services, Inc. and the Uldum Møbelfabrik manufacturing label.
These Scandinavian Modern occasional chairs would work great in a Scandinavian or Danish modern, Mid-Century Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a contemporary, Hollywood Regency or Postmodern room. Also consider mixing it up in a traditional, classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition.
