Six Regency Style Ebonized & Parcel Gilt Dining Chairs - U.K. - Circa 1900

Six exceptional antique Regency style ebonized and parcel gilt dining chairs - bench made hand carved quality beechwood frames with hand woven caned seats and backs - featuring hand painted and gilt decorated crest rails, each with an urn flanked by opposing Griffin's and scrolls with gilt floral emblems to either end - the hand painted back panels are surrounded by caning and depict the Greek mythologogical tale of 'Leda and the Swan' (slight variations and placement to each) - the seat aprons with hand painted gilt Greek key borders, again flanked by floral emblems to the top of each front gently curving round tapering leg - over-all warm aged patina - United Kingdom - circa 1900. Excellent antique condition - minor scuffs - minor gilding loss - some cane seats slightly drooping and loose but intact and stable - the caning on a couple of seats may have been replaced - no loss - no damage - minor restoration (seats only) - seat cushion fabric faded - signs of age and use. Size / Dimensions - Medium - 20 3/4" Wide x 21" Deep x 33" High. Seat Height - 16 1/4" (Plus Seat Cushion). Weight - 9 Lbs. Each.
