About the Item

Rare Soriana chaise longue by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, Italy, 1969 It's reupholstered in a beautiful plum textured fabric. The original foam is in very good condition and shows its characteristic round and bulky shape. The concept behind the Soriana series was to express a comfortable design where a bundle of fabric or leather was held together by chrome-plated metal clamps. The ‘Soriana’ series won the Compasso d’Oro price in 1970.
