  • Architectural Dutch Lounge Chairs
    By Gerrit Rietveld
    Located in Dronten, NL
Minimalistic but very comfortable pair of 2 lounge chairs, made in The Netherlands, circa 1960. The construction is very sophisticated, the chairs seem to float on the pair of flat steel legs. He was a pioneer of modern architecture and furniture design, and his work remains influential to this day. Rietveld's most famous design is undoubtedly the Red and Blue Chair, a minimalist and geometric piece that epitomizes the De Stijl aesthetic. He also designed a number of other buildings and pieces of furniture, including the Rietveld Schröder...
