Early Original Pair of Ole Wanscher Colonial Chairs PJ-149 Rosewood

About

One of Ole Wanscher's most iconic and revered designs. Model PJ-149 was inspired by British and French Colonial furniture of the 18th and 19th centuries. Highly figured Brazillian rosewood, which is the most desirable timber option for this design. Woven cane seat with feather cushion covered in original black leather. This pair is from the estate of Walter Hamilton White (1934-2014). He was a Dunbar Furniture Company associate in their 1960s New York showroom and a lifelong Dunbar collector.
