Italian Pair of Sculptural Lounge Chairs in Golden Damask Upholstery

About the Item

Pair of lounge chairs, fabric, beech, Italy, 1940s Charming set of chairs masterfully blending Art Deco influences with modernist touches. The design is characterized by a distinctively rounded, almost shell-like back that gracefully wraps around the seat. Rather than having a separate, upright backrest and angular sides, the curved form seamlessly encircles the seat, creating a continuous, enveloping shape. The seat itself is relatively broad and plush. Meanwhile, the chair’s lower portion tapers gently into four subtly splayed legs, giving it a light, poised stance. The chairs are upholstered in a warm, golden damask fabric with a subtly shimmering finish. Kindly note that the chairs are in good, used condition. The fabric contains signs of use. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
