Kurt Østervig Hunter Chair Oak and Black Leather for K.P. Jørgensens Møbelfabrik

About the Item

Great example of a Scandinavian hunting chair (model 168) by Kurt Østervig for K. P. Jørgensens Møbelfabrik, Denmark. The design is sometimes also attributed to Erling Jessen and reminiscent of Børge Mogensen iconic Spanish chair. Solid oak frame with black saddle leather all in very good condition. Slight traces of use with light patined leather. The armchair has a sturdy, functional and solid appearance. But also has beautiful details of Danish craftsmanship and aesthetics. The seat is comfortable due to the material and position of the tilted backrest in relation to the seat. The wide armrests are practical and make a side table superfluous. Despite the minor signs of age, the lounge chair still has a fresh look and is ready to serve your interior for the next decades.
