Le Corbusier, Wide Lounge Chairs

About the Item

Probably the most well-known designs by the Swiss-born architect Le Corbusier (Charles-Edouard Jeanneret) are the LC2 and LC3 armchairs. Le Corbusier hardly needs an introduction, his works span from furniture, buildings, cities, tapestries, to sculptures and more. Our version of the Fauteuil Grand Confort, features black leather cushions and a chrome finish metal structure. The LC2 was designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier; his cousin and colleague Pierre Jeanneret; and Charlotte Perriand. Incredible quality thick and supple brown leather wrapped by tubular chrome frames, these fantastic 'LC2' lounge chairs are suitable for interior designers and modern design collectors. These elegant and sophisticated LC2 armchairs by Le Corbusier for Alivar would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Bauhaus, Scandanavian Modern or Danish modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room.
