Mid-Century Airborne International Rolling Lounge Chair in Natural Leather

About the Item

Lounge chairs by Airborne International, upholstered in tan-brown natural leather with a structured silhouette defined by vertical channel stitching along the lower skirt panels. The ribbed and sewn exterior panels serve both a decorative and structural function, framing generously padded seat and back cushions. Softly rounded pillow-style armrests and a boxy low profile give each chair a substantial, enveloping quality. Caster wheels at the base allow easy repositioning. Five chairs available, priced per piece. Airborne International was a French manufacturer active from the late 1950s through the 1970s, producing upholstered seating that bridged commercial and residential markets. The brand was known for structured leather pieces with considered construction details — the channel-stitched skirt on these chairs is characteristic of their approach to combining visual interest with durability. A companion set with richer leather and no wheels is also available. The chairs show wear consistent with age and use. Overall condition is good for the age. Another set of similar chairs is also available with a richer, darker leather and without wheels (LU922443897182). Matching ottoman available as well, see (LU922448950392).
