A pair of Gianfranco Frattini '849' chairs for Cassina requiring new upholstery, the listed price includes the upholstery labor costs , great opportunity to choose your own fabric. These chairs were designed by Italian architect and designer Gianfranco Frattini in 1956 and produced by Cassina, Italy. The beautiful '849' chair won the gold medal design award 'Compasso d'Oro' in 1956 Ideal pair for your custom interior project where you can decide on the colour and type of fabric you would like to use We have a professional upholstery atelier and we can do the job here for you The chairs foam Interior will be renewed and replaced with natural Latex Rubber foam as original As for the upholstery fabric we can supply Kvadrat Hallingdale or De Ploeg Mohair on this set or you can supply your own fabric to match your project requirements (more information upon request) If you prefer leather upholstery this will come with a premium to the listed price The walnut wood frames can be refurbished upon request as well or left untouched and just oiled to show the vintage patina and age of the chairs Photo 16 shows a previous pair that we re-upholstered in leather (already sold) Literature: 'Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-80' , page 190, Gramigna Giuliana.
