This pair of armchairs came to us from a friend, descendant of a traditional familiy in Geneva, Switzerland. Her grandfather was a renowned doctor in the city. Geneva was a very honorable christian-calvinistic place that time. When the first brothel opened in the 1920ties, it became an immediate huge scandal. The cathouse had to close on the next morning. The doctor, father of our friend aquired some of the furniture, amongst them this lovely pair of armchairs. The armchairs are restored, stable, and ready to use. This channel-tufted leather love seat retains its original supple leather upholstery in an intriguing deep burgundy-brown color, almost like dark-cognac with beautiful lightly aged leather patina. The sumptuous seats are encased in a dark colored lacquer, providing an attractive modern contrast with the rich and elegant leather. This two-seater sofa has casters for ease of relocation according to occasion and mood or to better suit a view. The back is finished with tufted leather making this loveseat look incredible when floating in a room with the back exposed.
