The Bijou pouf is a couture-quality rectangular ottoman or bench designed by Sally Sirkin Lewis for her luxury furniture company, J. Robert Scott. It is celebrated for its precise upholstery techniques, deep button-tufting, and dressmaker detailing. Covered in original off-white satin weave with a shimmering silver effect, X-miter with welt and round self-button detail, faceted sides and built to the floor. Hall of Fame designer Sally Sirkin Lewis founded J. Robert Scott in Los Angeles in 1972. She was known for her "California Design," a clean, contemporary aesthetic with an emphasis on quality and luxury materials. The company was celebrated for its bespoke, handcrafted furniture and commitment to exceptional quality. The pieces were made by skilled artisans in their factory in Inglewood, California. They ceased operations in 2019.
